My very first makerspace activity was completed for my Teacher-Librarian mentor Gandalf. He handed me a small box and said, "Can you please figure this out for me?"
In the box was a Makey Makey. The gallery below shows what my Makey Makey activities looked like in the maker space. Under the gallery I have listed the tutorials and online programs which helped me figure it out. It didn't take me too long, which means you should be fine too! The students loved the Makey Makey, and learned about circuits, electrical currents and coding while having fun. - BJK Useful links to help you figure it out:

This is fantastic! What grade did you do this with? There is so much learning involved when using Makey Makey, such a valuable resource in any Makerspace. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Tonya, this was for a K-12 school's library maker space - but the majority of students who interacted with the activity were in year 1-6. The great part was that students seemed to explore only what they were ready to learn. Eg. Some had simple questions like how the water was coloured or why there was foil in the containers, whereas others made simple controllers (I didn't get photos unfortunately) and could be heard talking about circuits. A couple of older students attempted to code their own games via Scratch to use with the Makey Makey. It was self-differentiated. :)

This looks like a lot of fun! Just got approval to buy some Makey Makey's and cannot wait to order them.
